This week was our week of birthdays. Dad's was on Monday and mine was on Tuesday. I love birthday week, it is seriously so great to almost share birthdays with Dad. I honestly think that that plays a huge role in our relationship.
Monday was Dad's birthday but we decided to have a combined family birthday party. I went home on Monday night and Mom had got some pizza and made my favorite Caesar salad.
Mom went all out and got party hats and the annoying blowing things. It's always fun to be home with the family and celebrate birthdays. On Friday, Mom took me to the running store and we got my birthday present there, some awesome running shoes and a hydration belt for my marathon. Dad got an airsoft gun and a reflective running thing.
We played a game of Settlers of Catan. It was fun, except that Emma and Camille were a little grumpy.
We ended the party with a delicious carrot cake and some ice cream. Mom let me pick the cake and this cake is so divine. Thanks Mom for the fun birthday party. Happy Birthday Dad! I am glad that we get to share a birthday week.
