July 24 and other activities!

I should really start getting better at updating my blog more, but when I think about it I always don't want to. So here is what has happened over the last couple of weeks.

We went to see How To Train Your Dragon during an outside movie party last Friday night. Maddy and I got a little crazy and picture happy :) I didn't stay long because I had a lovely exam the next morning and I needed to study and sleep. I think I did ok on the test, but we will just have to wait and see.

I made my mom's chocolate chip cookies, and everyone loved them. We decided to go buy some vanilla ice cream and have ice cream sandwiches. If you ever want something good to eat. Then try this, it is DIVINE!!!! I ate way to many ;)
Saturday night, Maddy and I went to go play tennis with a couple of our FHE boys. It was a lot of fun, we goofed off more than played tennis. We took silly pictures and just talked for a long time. I just love this girl!!
Maddy let me borrow her maxi dress on sunday so we naturally had to take pictures in them, and I don't really know what the oven mitts have to do with any of it, but that is okay!

Then the 24 of July! Mapleton celebrates this Utah holiday like no other. There is a parade with all of the primaries, a small carnival and activities throughout the day. At night you are filled with a fireworks show and a live band. It is always a blast.

This year I brought my roommates. It was really nice being able to stay in a house that was comfortable and felt like home. We slept over Monday night and stayed all day Tuesday. My roommates slept for most of the morning, so I went out with my family to do some silly games and have a lot of fun. I saw a lot of my friends and that was good. I miss a lot of them, and it was nice to see them.

After that we made some lunch and then headed to the Spanish Fork Reservoir. It was so much fun. We hung out in the sun, swam across the thing and hung out. It was the perfect weather and I am so glad that I finally got to go swimming!

Then we made some homemade ice cream and Chase and Scott came over. We watch The Prestige and hung out. After that we headed to Ira Allen to watch the band and see the fireworks. There was a double rainbow and is was so pretty! We played a good game of Phase 10, talked to some friends, and then enjoyed the firework show.

Overall, it was a really fun couple of days! I am so glad that I got to go home, and I was sad to leave. But I only have a couple more weeks before I can stay home for longer than two days. I guess I never realized that I wouldn't ever live back at home for longer than a couple of months. It is sad to have this next phase in my life, but it has been fun so far and I am enjoying myself a lot. Thanks mom and dad for hosting this and letting us crash in the house! It was a lot of fun and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Hope you all had a Happy 24th of July!
