An Awesome Adventure!

Chris and Joseph
the girls in my family!

My family and I just recently returned home from our pioneer trek. It was an awesome experience!
I am part of my stake's youth council and we were able to help plan and be able to participate more fully in the trek. It was a lot of fun.
We started out on thursday morning and 4 a.m. Let me tell you that that is earlier than you think! We met our families and boarded the bus. We went to Martin's Cove and arrived there 6 hours later. The bus drive was long and boring.
On the first day we got there and walked around Martins Cove then we boarded the bus and went to our campground. The next day was the 10 mile walk.
It was long, sometimes hot and a lot of fun. During this day we walked through rivers and had the women's pull. We then went to another camp and hung out with our ward that night. On the last day we had a devotional, then testimony meeting and then went home. It was really nice to be home and take a shower.

I am really grateful for the pioneers and the sacrifices they made to me. I am not positive if I have any pioneer ancestry on the handcart companies, but I have more of a respect for all of those pioneers. Our family will finally be all together tonight, when my little brother comes home!

Love you all,
Rach
