Happy Halloween! (2 days late) I hope that everyone enjoyed their day of dressing up, eating lots of food and candy, and having so much fun. I know that we did, here in Provo.
The day started out normal, went to school and work--didn't dress up. But let me tell you, people at BYU get really into dressing up and wearing their costumes on campus. Some of the best costumes that I saw were some bull riders and a bull chasing them, Rumplestiltskin from the TV show, Once Upon A Time, lots of Anas and Elsas and Olafs, Rapunzel, and many many more.
Our ward had a party and we did not know what to dress up as. We went to the dollar store to get some candy to go trick-or-treating, but we found our costumes instead. We decided to be Christmas trees or just Christmas joy. It was so much fun, we had a great time getting ready.
We got about 3 tree skirts each and put them together as our skirts, we hung garlands and ornaments on us. We got some weird looks, but we had such a fun time. Now, we don't have to go shopping for our Christmas decorations.
We went to a ward party and we had a lot of fun, the party itself was kind of lame. But it was fun to talk to people and dance and eat some good food. After the party, we went to a small restaruant called Sammy's to get some pumpkin pie shakes, however, they were all out of pumpkin pie. Instead I got an apple cobbler pie shake and it was amazing. These pie shakes, they actually put a piece of pie in the shake and then mix it up with the ice cream.
All in all, we had such a fun time dressing up and celebrating halloween. Hope you all enjoyed it as well!
Love,
Rach
