Daily Messages

Part of my New Year's resolution was to read my scriptures daily (in Chinese), pray morning and night (which I still struggle with) and find time to ponder what God has blessed me with that day. I saw something on lds.org and signed up for it. It's called Daily Messages. I get an email with a quote from one of the Apostles. Some day's I just delete them, not really caring. Other days, they mean the world to me. These messages also give the link to read the whole address.
I had some challenges recently that hurt my testimony in this gospel. I have had a hard time rebuilding that faith and testimony. For some reason this challenge hit me to the core, and it wasn't even that big of a deal. Church has started to feel like a chore along with reading my scriptures. But I have continued to make the habit of doing both. I am no where near where I should be, but I know that it is through the small and simple things that my testimony is built and my faith strengthened. So here is the message I received today,

"Heed the promptings of the Spirit. Supplicate the Lord in mighty prayer. Become engaged in doing what you can to share the great message of the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ."
-Elder Ballard.

Love,

Rach
