So this post will have two parts. 1) that part that I am grateful for, the gospel. 2) what we did this weekend!
I am so grateful for this gospel! I seriously do not know where I would be if I didn't have it in my life. I am grateful for my Savior, Jesus Christ and His atoning sacrifice for each one of us. I am grateful for the Book of Mormon and all that it teaches me. I am grateful for temples and how they allow families to live together forever. I just love this gospel and I know it is true. This weekend was Stake Conference for us here in good ol' Provo. Last night we went to the adult session and it was so good. A girl spoke on missions. But rather take the approach of going on missions, she explained her experience. She said that she had always wanted to serve a mission, she prayed about it and got the answer, over a period of time, that she had a different mission. She said some really powerful things that answered so many of my questions. I really loved this quote she said, " It's NOT that the Lord doesn't need you. It's NOT that the Lord doesn't love you. It's because He has a DIFFERENT mission for you. Go Find It!"
It was so good!
Ok, weekend wrap up. Thursday, I wrote my letter to Santa Claus! So Friday, Dan and I went to the hospital cafe and got some free food with our volunteer badges. It was really fun talking to him and getting to know him better. Then Meg and I went to Old Navy and got some pretty cute running outfits! Afterwards, Dan and a bunch of us girls went to the dollar theater and saw Despicable Me 2. It was really fun! Saturday, Meg and I went running. We made super good time and felt really good about it. I went to volunteer then came home and attempted to do homework. Watched the BYU game on T.V (sad outcome), went to Stake Conference and the Bryn asked Meg and I if we wanted to go see his friend's band play. We did and had a blast. Afterwards, Bryn went home and Meg and I went to Arctic Circle to get some food. We then fell asleep watching Monk at like 11:30. It was so much fun though! I seriously LOVE college. I can't believe that this semester is almost over. I have grown so much, had some bumps in the road, and some fantastic times! P.S: I am terrible at getting pictures!
In fact, Meg and I were talking. A year ago this month was probably the greatest day of all of our lives. We had the best snowball fight known to man. Logan, Jackson, Mary, Meg, Carly, Becca and many many more were part of the fun. When I asked everyone what their favorite memory was of freshman year, it was always that night. I can't believe that it has been a year! That Logan, Jackson and Carly have hit their 6 months on their missions. That Mar has hit her 4 months, that Meg and I are in our sophomore year of college. So much has changed, but I love how we are all still great friends!
Love,
Rach
