New Discoveries+college stuff

This week has been INSANE! I can't describe it to you, but I average between 5.5-6.5 hours of sleep a night. Being put on all this stress and pressure along with other factors, I have made a few new discoveries about myself. That's what college is all about right?!

1. I hate tests. I know that no one likes tests, but seriously I hate even the theory of tests. I believe that a score on a test says nothing about your intelligence. That's just me, can you tell that I am frustrated?
2. I set too high of expectations for myself. Don't get me wrong, setting goals is a GREAT thing. But for me I expect myself to basically be perfect at things, and when they aren't I get really upset.
3. I am starting to write Chinese in my notes for other classes that are in English. You could say that I am improving, right?!

I have learned so much about myself spiritually as well. I realize that I tend to neglect my scripture reading for studying or I am just so tired that I can't stay awake any longer. Oh and this week, I think I have fallen asleep saying my prayers more than any other week. I am so grateful for friends that have the gospel in their lives. My roommates and I often have gospel conversations that are quite insightful. I am grateful for my knowledge in this gospel and the testimony that I have of its truthfulness!

I need to say a few things too: I am applying for a study abroad in London for the summer! I am so excited. No, I am not going on a mission, so don't ask. I have felt that getting an education is the most important thing I can do right now, and that London will enhance my studies as well as my education about other cultures and places. I am so excited. Cross your fingers that I get accepted. I am going to finish my application this weekend once everything is finished and done.

I love college! I really do, it's crazy to think how much I have grown in the last three months. I also can't believe that we are half way through the semester. I am sorry for the lack of pictures. I need to blog about making Thai food with Ploy. Maybe this weekend? haha seriously there is NO time. Hope everyone enjoys a chilly fall week.

Love,
Rach
