Trial Lake-Wirthlin Camping Adventures!

This weekend the fam took one of its last camping trips up to Trial Lake, in the Uintahs. We always have such a blast camping together and words don't seem to do justice, so I will put lots and lots of pics on!
But some highlights:
-FOOD! Camping food is always the best!
-Perfect weather, windy and breezy but sunny and nice
-Beautiful scenery
-Hiking
-Fishing and canoeing
-Campfires, we tell funny stories!
-Good attitudes. This was probably the most pleasant camping trip, everyone was nice to each other!

Some lowlights:
-Outhouses
-My face is a tomato from all of the sun
-3 days of no showers

So time for some pics!

I slept in the tent by myself
While everyone else slept in the trailer. (Joseph did sleep in the hammock one night)
We made homemade salsa before we came, so we enjoyed that
Joseph, Camille, Michael on the canoe, there was a lot of that happening!
 Many pretty wildflowers

Joseph thinking he is 'all that' hahaha, what a silly boy ;)

Buddy was out on the shore basically the WHOLE trip, we have a little fisherman :)
 Joseph helping Michael
This was on our hike to bald mountain

We made it to the top of Bald Mountain, super windy but really cool

Probably the one and only good picture I got with my best friend!
 We finished!

Of course you have to have a campfire while camping
 Roasting marshmellows
This is probably one of our favorite camping traditions, making popcorn over the fire!
 Eating Smores

Dad and Michael early the last morning coming back from fishing
 The view from our campsite
On top of "The Notch," such a pretty view!

Some lakes and ponds on the way up
I took this picture for Mar, but getting ready for bed, trying to stay warm!
I guess this is me, being me...
 Emma and I fishing

Overall this was such a fun trip! I really love being outdoors and enjoying this beautiful earth that we live in. Add people that you love to that and you get, a great time!

Hope all is well,

-Rach

  1. Sounds like so much fun! It must have been cool, as in temperature. You all look like you were trying to keep warm a lot of the time. What fun adventures to remember.
