So today is my birthday :) Birthday's are my favorite things in the world. I don't know why, but I love having a special day that I can celebrate and turn one year older. This year has been quite different. Usually we do something with the family to celebrate my dad's and I birthday. His birthday was yesterday! Happy Birthday Dad!

But he is out of town, and I am at school so when I was talking to my mom yesterday it sounded relaxed and not crazy like it sometimes is. But having a birthday in college is very different, but also a lot of fun. This is why...

So I do not like surprises and have never had a surprise party. I am just way to curious and suspicious, but this year I got my very own surprise birthday party. It was the nicest thing that anyone has done for me. Becca, my roommate planned it all and my friends upstairs and the rest of my roommates helped plan, clean and make it a huge success. This week was full of tests and so Friday came and I had to go to a lab for anatomy and then take a test after. My test was supposed to last me til about 8, but I changed plans and took my shorter test that night.

Mary told me to text her when I was done so that we could go hang out at the guys apartment and I just thought whatever, sounds good to me. I told her I was done and she told me that she was 'on a walk' and would come meet Logan and I. Again I thought ok sounds good. We went and talked to my friend, Miles who had gotten his mission call. And while we were talking Mary had a phone call and then my other friend, Katie said she had a "phone call" But really they were just talking about the party. haha I had no clue. So they made me go to the guys apartment and I really wanted to go home and eat since I hadn't eaten since lunch. But no, I went over to the guys apartment and we talked for a while. Then Megan said, "Hey you haven't eaten, lets go get something to eat." I told her I had been saying that for a long time. haha so they ran over and I walked and when I got there a lot of friends were in the kitchen and shouted surprise! There was a lot of food and just really awesome!

I am so grateful for my roommates who planned it and everyone who came. It totally made my weekend and I was so happy. Then tonight my mom brought dinner up for me and that was really nice. I am so grateful for my friends and family. They mean so much to me and I love being a part of my family and having the roommates that I have! Hope you all have a great weekend!
