Happy Mother's Day! :)

Today is Mother's day. I am so grateful for my mom and all that she does for me. Today the kids and dad made a brunch and dinner. I made dinner and dessert. For dessert I got an idea from Pinterest. It is chocolate bowls with ice cream. They were so good. To learn how to do this go  to http://www.bakerella.com/pudding-cups/.

But now to talk about mom. She is one of the best people I know. We have gone on many walks and had many talks. I love her humor, her love of life, her enthusiasm for our family, her continuous patience, and many other qualities that she has. I am so grateful for her understanding and patience with me. She has often rebuked and corrected me, taught and loved me, and cared and cried with me. I am so grateful for all of the many things she does for me. I love her more than I can express. I am not one to tell people I love them, but I love her and am grateful for her service to me and my family.

She has been very supportive of me this year especially. When I found out that I was accepted to BYU, she was proud of me, and supported my decision to go. She has helped me through stressful days, and has helped figure out the complicated manner of ordering a cap and gown. And in the next couple of weeks she will support me as I graduate from Seminary and high school. I often tease my parents that I am the experiment child and that they don't know what they are doing. But I am often surprised by how much she and my dad do know. They are trying their best to raise us kids the best they can. And I think that they are doing a great job.

Happy Mother's Day Mom and Grandma, I love you!!

  1. Stop making me cry! You express your love more than you think. The things you say are so sweet.

Very cute chocolate bowls. I really like the way they turned out, although I don't think I would have the patience for them.
