General Conference

Hey!

I am so excited for this weekend. I love General Conference. It is a time for all to ask questions and get answers, to learn more from our leaders, and reflect on our progress.

Today was kind of crazy. I went on a 6 mile run and then refereed two soccer games. I totally missed the first session and when I got home I watched three talks before I fell asleep. I was so tired! It is a good thing we have internet that I can re-watch those sessions.

Two more days before I find out who and where I will live for my first year of college. I can't believe it. This blog has helped me keep record of all of the thoughts and feelings I have had throughout this long journey. And now I only have two months before graduation. I remember last year at this point in time I was sad because Syd was graduating. Now I am the one graduating. SO WEIRD!! I am so excited.

Spring break is a week away and after that seniors only have 5 weeks until school gets out. It is so hard to go to school. I definitely have seniorits. The weather is beautiful and sometimes I can't bring myself to do homework or have a good attitude about school, but thank goodness for good friends who help me get through that. Prom is on the way, and I have not been asked yet. Surprised?! haha just kidding. I don't really care, I was kind of mad earlier this week, but I figure it is just another dance that I don't have to worry about! I can't wait for summer!!!

Have a great day, I hope you enjoy the beauties of spring! :)

  1. Hi Rachel,

I did a better job listening to Conference on Sat. Sun. we were at Robin's with everybody. I have a hard time concentrating with so much going on. Sat Grandpa and I watched the proceedings here at home on the internet. It is amazing the lift one gets from watching Conference.

Graduation is creeping up on you. And so is your first college experience. It is an exciting time for you. You have an exciting energy about you and I know that you will be ready for each and every opportunity that comes your way.

Came across a great saying on my kitchen calendar when it changed to April. A good saying for a life of new experiences.

    Happiness is a grateful spirit,
    An optimistic attitude,
and a heart full of love.

Enjoy all the new life experiences coming your way!
